Soldier dismissed - Smotrich fumes: 'Politics is being brought in through the front door'

According to him, while soldiers from the opposition use uniforms without sanction, government supporters are severely punished. He called for the dismissal to be canceled or for all involved to be dismissed.

In a letter to the Chief of Staff, Smotrich alleged selective enforcement: while soldiers and candidates from the opposition film themselves in uniform without punishment, government supporters are immediately dismissed. The minister emphasized that political involvement in uniform is prohibited, but the punishment—complete dismissal—is disproportionate. He called for the dismissal to be canceled or for all violators to be dismissed, arguing that selective enforcement brings politics into the military.
