This follows Likud's request to reconsider the decision. Sohlberg ruled this evening (Thursday) that in their responses, the claimants will also address alternative and feasible ways to encourage voters to exercise their right to vote, while maintaining the framework of the decision. The decision was made two days ago and stipulates that members of polling station committees and observers on behalf of candidate lists and parties are not permitted to report to their parties during Election Day about the identity of voters who came to vote. Sohlberg ruled that transferring information about the act of voting and its circumstances constitutes a violation of privacy and is not permitted under the Privacy Protection Law. ynet revealed that Likud wishes to advance a legislative amendment that would allow the use of the app despite the ban, with the legislation stipulating that this does not constitute a violation of privacy. Coalition representatives approached the opposition with a request to draft legislation by agreement. The opposition has not yet responded to the request. The decision mainly harms the large parties represented in the Knesset, which have solid databases. Among the parties that used 'Elector' are Likud, Religious Zionism, Otzma Yehudit, Shas, United Torah Judaism, and Yisrael Beiteinu. Yesh Atid and the National Unity Party used similar apps that are not 'Elector'.
