Slight Decline in Bank Hapoalim Profits to NIS 2.5 Billion; Will Distribute NIS 1.24 Billion to Shareholders

Bank Hapoalim reported a net profit of NIS 2.49 billion for the second quarter, a slight decline of 2% compared to the corresponding quarter last year. The bank will distribute NIS 1.24 billion to shareholders, including a cash dividend of NIS 995 million. The credit portfolio grew by 6.6% since the beginning of the year to NIS 536 billion.

Bank Hapoalim published its results for the second quarter of 2026, with a net profit of NIS 2.49 billion, a slight decline of 2% compared to the corresponding quarter last year. The bank, under the management of Yadin Antebi, is expected to distribute 50% of its profits to shareholders, totaling NIS 1.24 billion, including a cash dividend of NIS 995 million and an allocation of NIS 249 million for a share buyback program. The credit portfolio grew by 6.6% since the beginning of the year to NIS 536 billion, led by the large business portfolio which grew by 10% and the medium business portfolio which expanded by 9.6%. Net interest income rose by about 0.5% to NIS 4.82 billion, while fee income remained stable at NIS 1.14 billion. Credit loss expenses decreased to NIS 298 million, and the ratio of non-accruing credit remained stable at 0.53%. Salary expenses decreased by 7.3% to NIS 1.08 billion, and the efficiency ratio improved to 30.6%.
