The officer noted that the number of line crossings is increasing, and it is not always possible to enforce compliance. An additional problem is the actions of militants in coastal areas who move the yellow barrels used to physically mark the line, attempting to change the actual border location. Soldiers must simultaneously track militant movements and ensure the integrity of the markings. Against this backdrop, security structures are enhancing surveillance and defense systems, and instructions are being adjusted.
