Shots fired and threats against electricity company workers: two suspects arrested in Tel Sheva

Two residents of Tel Sheva, in their 20s and 30s, were arrested on suspicion of firing at an electricity pole and threatening workers of the Israel Electric Corporation who arrived to repair the damage. The shooting caused disruptions in the electricity supply, and the workers were forced to leave after being threatened. The police arrested the suspects in a joint operation with various units.

Two residents of Tel Sheva, in their 20s and 30s, were arrested on suspicion of involvement in shooting at an electricity pole in the town and threatening workers of the Israel Electric Corporation. According to the police, the incident began yesterday with a report of gunfire that caused damage to infrastructure and disruptions in the electricity supply to residents. Subsequently, electric company workers arrived at the scene to repair the damage, but several suspects threatened them and demanded they stop working, forcing the workers to leave. Following the report, the police opened an investigation, and within a few hours, officers from the Ayarot station conducted an operational activity in cooperation with the Tel Sheva municipal policing unit, fighters from the Sa'ar unit, and Border Police fighters. During the operation, the two suspects were arrested and taken for further questioning. The commander of the Ayarot station, Deputy Superintendent Yahav Siman, stated that harming public infrastructure and threatening public workers is crossing a red line, and that the police will act decisively against anyone who tries to intimidate and disrupt essential services.
