Since October 7, he has become a prominent voice in public discourse, including around the demand for a state commission of inquiry. His sister and her husband were wounded and fled from Kibbutz Kfar Aza during the Hamas attack. Eisenkot welcomed the joining, saying Hogg is "a symbol of citizens who rose on October 7". Hogg is expected to present in the coming weeks a plan for government efficiency, which will include principles of innovation, excellence, and entrepreneurship, and to reduce the gap between government decisions and their implementation.
