Minister of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Amichai Shikli revealed at Channel 14's Security Conference that the most significant threat to Israel, in his view, comes from Syria, due to Turkish funding. Shikli stressed that the achievement in Lebanon is unprecedented, Hezbollah is in operational and political crisis, and Israel will not withdraw from Lebanon until the organization is completely disarmed. He added that Turkey is gradually replacing Iran and that the next target is Israel. Earlier, Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a direct threat to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, saying that "the Muslim Brotherhood axis could be very dangerous" and that Erdogan should not mess with Israel.
