Bar Bekhor Asraf, a 30-year-old resident of Sha'arei Tikva, took his own life yesterday (Saturday) with a gunshot at the grave of his close girlfriend Liron Barda, who was murdered at the Nova festival. His family told Walla that he struggled to cope with her death, which kept resurfacing. His sister Lihi recounted how she found him lying by the grave, covered in blood, and how family members tried to revive him without success. His mother Bracha spoke of the deep soul connection between Bar and Liron, the tattoo he got in her memory, and the significant difficulty he felt without her. Barda worked as the bar manager at the party in Re'im, and despite pleas from friends and family to flee, she provided first aid to the wounded until she was murdered. Aid organizations, including the Lev Bateach association, warn that relatives of the victims need ongoing psychological support, emphasizing that trauma also affects the inner circle, which they call 'Circle 1.5'. The Shomron Regional Council shared in the family's grief. The funeral took place today at the Nahal Reva cemetery, and the family will sit shiva at the 'Heichal Michael' synagogue in Sha'arei Tikva.
