A resident of Petah Tikva in her 20s, a former police officer, was arrested about two weeks ago on suspicion of impersonating a man online under the name "Oral Hazan," conducting romantic and sexual relationships with women and committing serious sexual offenses against them, including rape and indecent acts. The police collected testimonies from five complainants, who said they had a relationship with the suspect without knowing she was a woman. One complainant said: "We were in a romantic relationship for months, until I found out she was a woman." In a hearing at the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court, the suspect requested release and said: "I have no criminal record. I was a police officer for two years. Everything I did was because I was at a low point in my life." The judge released her to house arrest for 10 days. The prosecution is expected to file a serious indictment soon. Her defense attorney, Adv. Erez Bar Tzvi, said: "I am glad that with the police's consent my client was released under conditions. We are confident that when the facts become clear, the case will be closed without anything."
