Sharan Haskel Confirms: Summoned to Testify at Lahav 433 on State Comptroller Election

MK Sharan Haskel has been summoned to give testimony at the police's Lahav 433 unit, after submitting an affidavit to the High Court of Justice in which she claimed that members of the New Hope faction were required by Likud to document their vote in the election of the State Comptroller and send the proof to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Haskel claimed that the decision was forced on faction members without the possibility of expressing an independent opinion.

MK Sharan Haskel (New Hope – The National Right) has been summoned to give testimony at the police's Lahav 433 unit, in the affair of the election of the State Comptroller. Haskel submitted an affidavit to the High Court last week, in which she claimed that members of her faction were required by Likud to document their vote on video and send the proof to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In the signed affidavit, which she published, it was written that "the decision made by the Likud faction was forced on the members of the New Hope – The National Right faction" and that the candidate was presented as someone they were required to support "without reservation and without the possibility of expressing an independent opinion." Haskel noted that this was even reported in the media. Now she has been summoned to give testimony at the police, and the affair is taking a legal turn.
