About two weeks ago, a report was received by police from a Jaffa resident, according to which her ex-partner raped her and committed sexual offenses against her in her home, while their minor daughter witnessed the acts. The suspect was arrested and taken for questioning, and his detention was extended from time to time. Today, a prosecutor's statement and a request for detention until the end of proceedings were filed. During the investigation, which was conducted by officers of the Jaffa station in the Ayalon district, in cooperation with other parties including child investigators, evidence was collected that, according to police, links the suspect to the acts attributed to him. The case joins a series of serious cases of sexual offenses within the family that have been exposed recently, including an indictment against another man from the center who committed sexual offenses against his daughter for years.
