Settlers cut down dozens of fruit trees west of Jenin

Settlers cut down dozens of guava and avocado trees in the lands of Khirbet Firasin, west of Jenin, in a new attack on citizens' property. The land belongs to citizen Raed Ahmad Nasser Amarna, and some of the cut trees are about 10 years old. Local sources confirm that the attacks are continuous and almost daily, and that the settlers targeted the trees at night just before the production season to deprive their owners of the fruit.

They noted that some of the cut trees are about 10 years old, and that the settlers deliberately targeted them during the night, as part of ongoing attacks that the khirbet's lands face almost daily. They added that these attacks are not the first, as settlers had cut down hundreds of trees during the previous agricultural season, stressing that the targeting of trees is done deliberately just before their production season, with the aim of depriving landowners of their fruit and agricultural yield. Khirbet Firasin suffers repeated attacks by settlers coming from the "Harmesh" settlement, including attacks on agricultural lands, trees, and farmers, amid escalating attacks on citizens' property and livelihoods.
