Dozens of extremist settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem on Thursday morning, performing Talmudic rituals and provocative tours under the protection of the occupation police. They positioned themselves in the eastern area and on the roofs of the prayer areas, brought in ritual tools, and raised the Israeli flag opposite the Dome of the Rock. The occupation forces tightened their measures against Palestinians and obstructed the arrival of worshippers. The incursions come amid escalating settler attacks and attempts to impose new facts on the ground.

Jerusalemite sources reported that groups of settlers entered the mosque from 6:30 a.m. through the Mughrabi Gate, coinciding with the eve of the Hebrew month, led by the extremist rabbi Yehuda Glick. The incursions saw escalating violations that affected wide areas of the mosque, as settlers positioned themselves in the eastern area, performed prayers and Talmudic rituals, while others spread out on the roof of the Marwani prayer hall, the Qibli prayer hall courtyard, and the northern and western arcades. The settlers openly brought in tools and clothing for Talmudic rituals, with some seen wearing the prayer shawl 'tallit', while others placed the prayer mat 'matah' and performed the so-called 'Priestly Blessing' among the olive trees. Settlers also practiced 'collective prostration' rituals in the mosque courtyards, repeatedly raised the Israeli flag opposite the Dome of the Rock, and organized circles of dancing, singing, and loud clapping, while receiving explanations about the alleged 'Temple'. In contrast, the occupation forces tightened their measures against Palestinians, deployed their personnel at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque, obstructed the arrival of worshippers, and stopped vehicles and bicycles, checking citizens' identities, especially in the Bab al-Asbat area. These incursions come amid escalating settler attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque and attempts to impose new facts on the ground, threatening to entrench the temporal and spatial division of the mosque, in clear violation of its sanctity and Islamic status.
