Police who arrived at the scene arrested the Jewish minor, while the motorcyclist was not arrested. The minor has been held in custody for about a week, and his family alleges selective enforcement, presenting footage they say proves self-defense. His attorney, Daniel Shamshilashvili from the Honenu organization, stated that the footage contradicts the investigating unit's version and called for action without bias. The Israel Police responded that the investigation is conducted professionally and equitably, and that the suspect was arrested due to his central involvement in a serious violent incident, and that claims of ulterior motives are false.
