"See what we're dealing with": Benny Biton calls on Likud members to let Netanyahu determine the list

Dimona Mayor Benny Biton, a close associate of Netanyahu, calls for the cancellation of the Likud primaries and granting the prime minister the authority to determine the party list, criticizing the focus on internal struggles during an important diplomatic visit.

Dimona Mayor Benny Biton, considered a close associate of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was interviewed today (Monday) on 103fm and called on Likud members to cancel the primaries and allow Netanyahu to determine the party's Knesset list as a temporary order. Biton criticized the focus on internal struggles over positions on the list, while Netanyahu is about to embark on an important diplomatic visit to the Middle East. He argued that a position on the list is meaningless, citing examples of Israel Katz who reached 12th place and became Defense Minister, and Ehud Olmert who was in 29th place and became Acting Prime Minister. Biton emphasized that he is expressing his personal opinion, not Netanyahu's, and proposed an advisory committee alongside the authority granted to the prime minister.
