Senior security officials, members of Knesset, and academics convened for a discussion on the question of 'total victory'. Maj. Gen. (res.) Uzi Dayan, chairman of 'Mivtahi - National Commanders Forum', called for setting victory as a leading goal and exploiting the new defensible borders in Lebanon, Syria, the Jordan Valley, and Gaza. MK Amit Halevi (Likud) presented an analysis that the ultimate purpose of military victory is the elimination or surrender of the enemy, focusing on ideology rather than material means. Rabbi Uri Sharki addressed IDF values and national resilience. Participants agreed that true decision will be achieved by redefining victory as the elimination of the enemy's ideology, active control of the territory, and strengthening settlement.
