Israeli police are asking the public for help in the search for Katriel Nachman Keinan, 24, missing since last Monday, 10.08.26, at approximately 18:00, when he was last seen in the Guy Beach area of Tiberias. Keinan was apparently on his way to Safed, and since then his tracks have disappeared. Police and family express grave concern for his life, and today, Wednesday, searches continue in the Tiberias area. His brother, Daniel Keinan, said he spoke with him on Sunday evening, when he said he was on his way to Safed and might stop in Meron. He noted that his brother did not have much battery left and there has been no contact since. Keinan was supposed to meet his rabbi on Monday at 10:00 AM, but did not arrive. Police investigation shows that Keinan stayed on Mount Meron overnight between Sunday and Monday, and from there boarded a bus toward Safed. For an unclear reason, he arrived in Tiberias, where he was recorded on security cameras at the central station walking toward the Rambam tomb and continuing on foot toward the tomb of Rabbi Meir Baal Hanes. The last phone ping was on Monday evening at Guy Beach. The family says the disappearance is uncharacteristic. Keinan is described as having black hair, a beard, and brown eyes, 1.74 meters tall, wearing a white shirt, black suit, hat, black backpack, and dark brown tefillin bag. The public is asked to report any information to Beit Shemesh station at 02-9902384 or to hotline 100.
