New details have emerged about the disappearance of four-year-old Yuval Kogan, who was found alive after a day of extensive searching in the Nitzanim area. It turned out that the boy tried to find his way home on his own, hid from the intense heat in the shade, and fell asleep in a field at night. Yuval went missing during a walk with his father and two sisters. When the boy realized he had lost his family, he tried not to go far and protected himself from the sun. He kept his hat on and spent most of the day in the shade. As darkness fell, Yuval was left alone in the open area and eventually fell asleep. All this time, a large-scale search operation continued with numerous forces and aircraft. Later, the boy told relatives that he saw and heard helicopters circling the area, which were involved in his search. He also noticed signal flares illuminating the area at night. After returning, Yuval asked his father why he hadn't picked him up when the helicopters were nearby. The turning point came when the boy saw Noam Simha, who was participating in the search with his dog. Yuval called out to the man and said he had lost his father. After being found, the child was handed over to medics. He showed signs of dehydration, but serious health consequences were avoided. A day after Yuval's return home, the atmosphere in the family completely changed. Relatives and friends began to visit the Kogan home in Ashkelon. The boy received many sweets, which he shared with loved ones. Meanwhile, police clarified the circumstances of the child's disappearance amid numerous rumors that emerged during the search. Theories of abduction or other crimes were ruled out, and no criminal case is planned. After the search operation concluded, the Southern District Police invited the Kogan family for a special rest day, planned for the following week.
