Former senior surgeon at the medical networks Assuta and Maccabi, Dubi Laxman, has found himself at the center of a scandal following a series of racist Facebook posts targeting Jews of Eastern origin, particularly Mizrahi and Moroccan Jews. The trigger for the investigation was one of his posts that caused widespread resonance. During the review, other posts of similar content were found, as well as a persistent pattern of such behavior. As a result, a lawsuit was filed against him, after which he was suspended from both medical institutions. However, the suspension did not affect his rhetoric. Immediately after the scandal, Laxman posted a new message in which he continued to use offensive comparisons, including calling right-wing Mizrahi 'baboons' and 'pigs.' Later, he published another post repeating his insults. In his latest post, presented as an apology, he called himself a 'racist doctor' and explained that the post was written to 'annoy and troll' before the elections, but he again repeated his claims, questioning their factual inaccuracy.
