Eliran and Sivan Bohbot, a couple in their 40s from Haifa, are suspected of stealing goods worth more than 100,000 shekels during a vacation in Eilat with their three children, aged nine, eight, and one and a half. According to the report, the two were convicted four years ago in a similar but more severe case, in which 20 indictments were filed against them following a wave of shop thefts in the north of the country. Eliran served actual prison time, and Sivan was tried in a community court and sent to rehabilitation. In footage from businesses in Eilat, the man is seen removing security tags (buzzers) from products and stuffing them into a bag attached to his daughter's stroller. A security officer at one of the malls described a consistent modus operandi: father, mother, baby in a stroller, and a large bag. A security officer at the 'Ice Mall' said the couple denies being the people in the footage, claims they do not identify themselves and their children, and claims they have receipts for the property, but have not presented even one receipt.
