Sabri: Al-Aqsa incursions are a gradual plan to impose 'sovereignty'

Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, the preacher of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, warned in press statements on Sunday that the ongoing Israeli incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque are part of a gradual Israeli plan aimed at imposing Israeli 'hegemony and sovereignty' over it. Sabri affirmed that these measures target changing the existing reality at Al-Aqsa Mosque, leading to the imposition of Israeli 'sovereignty' and stripping the Islamic Waqf Department of its administrative powers. He stressed that the repeated incursions and accompanying practices are not isolated events but come within the framework of gradual steps through which the occupation authorities seek to establish a new reality at the mosque and undermine the role of the Islamic Waqf. He affirmed that Al-Aqsa Mosque, with its entire area of 144 dunams, is an exclusive right of Muslims, and that any measures targeting its current status or infringing on the powers of the Waqf represent an assault on this right.
