Russians will have their property seized due to drone attacks

Putin signed a decree allowing the introduction of temporary management at critical infrastructure facilities if their owners have not protected them from attacks by Ukrainian drones. The definition covers enterprises in the fuel and energy complex, energy, industry, communications, and logistics. The management will be appointed by the Federal Agency for State Property Management. The decision was made amid strikes on oil refineries and warehouses.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree that allows Russian authorities to introduce temporary management at critical infrastructure facilities if their owners have failed to protect them from attacks by Ukrainian drones. The decree applies to enterprises in the fuel and energy complex, energy, industry, communications, as well as municipal, transport, and logistics infrastructure. In effect, owners may have their businesses seized if, in the opinion of the relevant services, they have not taken security measures, violated protection requirements, or failed to restore damaged infrastructure after attacks. The temporary manager will be appointed by the Federal Agency for State Property Management or another person by decision of the government. Financing for the maintenance of the seized property will be carried out from the income generated from its use. The decree was adopted amid regular attacks by Ukrainian drones on Russian oil refineries that supply fuel to occupation forces, as well as on logistics centers of Wildberries and Ozon.
