Russia will try to expand the 'war zone' by winter - who is under threat
According to an analyst, Russia is preparing to expand the zone of hostilities and increase pressure on NATO and Ukraine during the winter period. European politicians fear informal agreements between Trump and the Kremlin. The expert warns of possible incidents with drones and missiles in the airspace of NATO countries.
According to Valeriy Klochok, head of the Center for Public Analytics 'Vezha', Russia is preparing to expand the zone of hostilities and increase pressure on Ukraine and NATO countries in the upcoming winter period. European politicians express concern about possible informal agreements between the administration of US President Donald Trump and the Kremlin on the Ukrainian issue without Europe's participation. Klochok believes that Moscow seeks to take advantage of the ongoing changes to achieve its own goals and may try to compensate for the lack of technological advantage by expanding the geography of military risks. As an example, he cites an incident with a drone in Romanian airspace shot down by the Spanish Air Force, and also recalls cases of Russian missiles and drones crossing the airspace of Poland and the Baltic states. According to the expert, such incidents allow Moscow to gradually increase tension and test the reaction of European states. Klochok does not rule out that further developments could lead to a ceasefire agreement without a full peace treaty.
