Russia-North Korea Alliance Creates New Threat – Zelensky

Volodymyr Zelensky warned of a strategic alliance forming between Russia and North Korea. According to Ukrainian intelligence, Moscow is preparing to send 30,000 to 50,000 North Korean soldiers to the front. Pyongyang receives economic and technological support, while its troops gain combat experience, posing a threat to the Asia-Pacific region. Ukraine called on South Korea to provide air defense systems and drones. As a result of strikes on Ukraine, including Chernihiv, four people were killed, including one child.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned the international community about the deepening military cooperation between Russia and North Korea, stating that a full-fledged strategic alliance is being formed. According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia is prepared to send between 30,000 and 50,000 North Korean soldiers to active combat zones, mostly young and insufficiently experienced fighters, who are planned to be deployed to the most difficult sections of the front. As part of the cooperation, North Korea receives economic and technological support from Russia, including food and energy supplies, as well as the opportunity to modernize outdated weapons systems. The main danger, according to Zelensky, is that North Korean troops are gaining practical experience in modern warfare, which poses a direct threat to the security of Asia-Pacific countries. The details of the exchange of resources and manpower were discussed during the visit of North Korea's foreign minister to Moscow. Amid the threat, Ukrainian authorities called on South Korea to reconsider its strict approach to military aid and consider supplying air defense systems and drones, despite legal restrictions in Seoul. Meanwhile, massive strikes continue in Ukraine: as a result of a series of missile and drone attacks, one of which hit a facility in Chernihiv, four people were killed, including one child.
