Russia attacks Kyiv — casualties and extensive destruction (PHOTO, VIDEO)

On the night of August 8, the Russian army attacked Kyiv with drones and ballistic missiles. Fires broke out in the Holosiivskyi and Obolonskyi districts. In the village of Pukhivka, three people died, including a four-year-old child, and three were injured. Mayor Klitschko and the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the attack. Preliminary data indicate 4-6 S-400 and Iskander-M missiles were launched.

On the night of August 8, 2026, the Russian army carried out a massive combined attack on Kyiv using kamikaze drones and ballistic missiles. This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Explosions occurred in the Holosiivskyi and Obolonskyi districts, causing fires: in Holosiivskyi, a garage cooperative covering a thousand square meters and warehouses with paper products burned, and in Obolon, an enterprise. The most tragic events occurred in the village of Pukhivka in the Brovary district: a two-story residential building was destroyed, and three people, including a four-year-old child, died under the rubble, with three more injured. According to preliminary data, between four and six S-400 missiles and ballistic Iskander-M (or KN-23) missiles were launched at the right bank. Rescue teams continue their work, and final figures on downed targets will be announced later.
