Tzur claims that Yair Golan did not contact him after the affair, and that they tried to pin a fake SMS on him. He calls for ideological balance within the party.

Ronen Tzur, who withdrew from the primaries of the "Democrats" party, was interviewed on the podcast "In Sharon's Living Room" with Sharon Gal and spoke about his difficult feelings. Tzur said: "I received a lot of hatred from within the house of the 'Democrats'." He explained that he decided to withdraw after a heated discussion that included elements of incitement surrounding his demand for an ideological debate within the party. According to him, Yair Golan called him and said "we must calm things down," but Tzur felt it was a call to silence him rather than to calm things down. Tzur described how on his way home he received an SMS that read: "A fateful primary - between the path of Nimrod Shefer who grovels before terrorists and Yaya Pink who collects money for Huwara and the path of Rabin." He realized they were trying to pin a fake impersonating SMS on him. Later, Amit Segal revealed that behind this were Nimrod Shefer and his assistant. Tzur attacked: "Yair Golan doesn't do the bare minimum - pick up the phone, and neither do all these good friends - Gilad Kariv, Efrat Rayten, Naama Lazimi, and Yaya Pink. No one picked up the phone." In conclusion, he said he never imagined he would experience hatred and incitement just for calling for ideological balance in the party.
