Right-wing campaign for release of detained settler intensifies; his attorney: 'End the saga'

Tal Yanon Dardik, a resident of the illegal outpost Kfar Tarfon in the Jordan Valley, began a hunger strike about three weeks ago after being placed under administrative detention. Today (Monday), he was evacuated to Hadassah Har HaTzofim Hospital after his condition deteriorated. Dardik was arrested after violating a restraining order issued by the Central Command Chief, Avi Bluth, which restricted him to the settlement of Adi Ad, following intelligence information about an intention to harm Palestinians. He is suspected of involvement in a raid on the village of Khumsa in March, where according to testimonies, residents were severely attacked, including children. The police arrested several suspects, and the investigation continues. His attorney, Nati Rom from the Honenu organization, visited him and called on the regional commander and the Defense Minister to release him: 'End this saga.'
