Reservists? This is the benefit you'll be entitled to starting today
The IDF, Ministry of Defense, and Ministry of Finance began loading the "Fighter" cards for reservists who served in 2026, with up to 5,000 shekels. Finance Minister Smotrich addressed the servicemen in a video, saying the benefit comes to them "by right, not by grace," and that over 26 billion shekels were invested to support the servicemen and their families.
The IDF, Ministry of Defense, and Ministry of Finance began today (Tuesday) loading the "Fighter" cards for reservists, in recognition of their significant contribution during their reserve service in 2026. The benefit will be added to the digital card the fighters already received, so that all benefits are consolidated into one convenient card. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich addressed the reservists in a special video, saying: "Dear reservists, follow your 'Fighter' card. Today we started loading it with up to 5,000 shekels that you can spend on anything that makes you feel good. You deserve it; you earned it by right, not by grace." He added: "I invite you and your families to use the Fighters. We have already invested over 26 billion shekels to support you and your families."
