Reserve General Against Netanyahu: 'I Will Never Forgive Him for Dividing the People'

In Haifa, several hundred demonstrators called for a change of government in the upcoming elections. At the Tel Aviv rally, former commander of the Southern Military District, Major General (res.) Yom-Tov Samia, spoke. He addressed Knesset members from Likud, Shas, and the Religious Zionism party, saying that he grew up in a religious family that followed the traditions of Libyan Jewry, and that the current coalition, which calls itself "right-wing," has betrayed those values. Samia said: "I will never forgive Netanyahu. The divisions and cracks he has created in this country are a real threat to its existence." He also accused the government of allocating billions to fund draft evasion at the expense of soldiers, weakening the IDF, and ruining the economy. At the Haifa rally, Hadas Klein, a state witness in "Case 1000" (the so-called "gifts case"), spoke. She said she is accused of political activism, but she is not an activist; she is concerned about the existential threat to the State of Israel if the arbitrariness does not stop.
