Report: US Army General Warned of Insufficient Forces to Continue Defending Israel

According to a report published today (Saturday) in The Washington Post, the commander of the US Army's European Command, Alexus Grynkewich, warned the Pentagon this week that he lacks sufficient naval forces to continue defending Israel against ballistic missiles. The report was based on 'official sources.' The article explained that European Command coordinates military missions in the Mediterranean, and therefore plays a central role regarding the American destroyers in the region that have intercepted Iranian and Houthi missiles aimed at Israel. At the same time, the command must prepare for the threat of an attack by Russia on a NATO member state. According to the report, Grynkewich sent a written message to Pentagon officials stating that without an additional destroyer, he would be forced to choose to defend the American 'homeland' over Israel.
