Trump told reporters at the White House yesterday: "I want to give them one last chance before we chop their heads off. You'll know today or tomorrow. It will go fast, one way or another. It's not very complicated." Earlier, Reuters reported, citing a senior Iranian official, the outlines of the plan being discussed with Oman. According to that official, under the arrangement, Iran would gain full control over the entry of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. It was also claimed that the exit shipping route through the strait would pass through the channel between Iran and Oman – the middle route – and that Oman would allow vessels to exit only after updating Iran. According to the official, the arrangement would grant Tehran control over the movement of vessels exiting through the strait, as well as the ability to "intervene in what is happening" if necessary.
