The team, which included reporter Yonatan Roa and cameraman Nadav Abs, was filming a documentary series on antisemitism in Europe. The incident occurred over the weekend at a bar complex in Belfast, when a local man who realized the team was Israeli began disrupting the filming, tried to snatch equipment, and then threw a glass beer mug at the cameraman, hitting his head and causing a bleeding cut. The team did not require further medical treatment and returned to Israel. Police attribute to the suspect suspicions of assault causing bodily harm, assault, assaulting a police officer, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. The case will be referred to the Public Prosecution Service. Leader of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), Gavin Robinson, condemned the attack, calling it 'very concerning' and calling for an investigation into the motive, including the possibility of antisemitism.
