Reports by the international group J7 and the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) for 2025 recorded a record surge in antisemitism worldwide. According to the data, the total number of antisemitic incidents in seven key countries (USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Argentina) increased by 136% compared to 2022, and violent attacks by 97%. 20 Jews were killed, 15 of them in a terrorist attack in Sydney on the first day of Hanukkah. A total of over 23,000 manifestations of antisemitism were recorded in 2025. The J7 report for the first time includes a section on Ireland, where 143 incidents occurred in six months in a community of 2,200 people. The largest increase since 2022 was recorded in Australia (270%), Germany (215%), and the USA (131%). Germany leads in concentration of incidents per capita. Anti-Zionism is named a key driver of aggression: 48% of incidents in the UK, 45% in the USA, 23% in Germany. Leaders of Jewish communities call on governments to move to preventive measures, including security funding and stricter legislation.
