The Haifa District Prosecutor's Office is expected to file today (Thursday) indictments against a 16-year-old minor from northern Israel and a 19-year-old from Nahariya for two incidents of throwing fragmentation grenades at a residential building in Ma'alot-Tarshiha. The investigation, conducted by the Crime Fighting Unit of the Kinneret District, began after a report was received on May 12 about a grenade throw that caused extensive damage to the building. A few days later, another incident occurred at the same building. According to the suspicion, the minor received tens of thousands of shekels for carrying out the throws, and part of the money was transferred to the 19-year-old in exchange for driving him to the scene on a scooter. The background to the incidents is a conflict between criminal elements. The police stated that the fight against violent crime continues on multiple fronts.
