Inside the stadium, fans chanted 'Ceuta is not for sale, Ceuta must be defended,' and later directed their anger at Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez with cries of 'son of a bitch.' Outside the stadium, some fans were recorded making antisemitic and Islamophobic slurs: 'A Jew I see, a Jew I kick. Spain is Christian and not Muslim.' The demonstration was praised on social media by international right-wing activists, including Ben Johnson and Tommy Robinson. The radicalization on the Spanish street regarding the immigration issue has been felt since a Spanish police intelligence report determined that Moroccan security forces directed the breach of tens of thousands of migrants at the Ceuta border.
