Ramle resident in his 40s arrested for smashing door of Channel 12 offices

A resident of Ramat Gan in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of smashing the entrance door of Channel 12's offices with stones, fleeing the scene, and leaving a threatening letter. The arrest was carried out by the Tel Aviv District Central Unit, in a joint investigation with the Shin Bet.

Officers from the Tel Aviv District Central Unit arrested a suspect this evening (Thursday, July 30, 2026) on charges of threats and causing damage to property at the entrance door of Channel 12's offices. Two days ago, in the morning, officers noticed that the glass of the building's entrance door was damaged, and near the entrance a threatening letter was found, allegedly addressed to public figures and media personnel. The investigation revealed that the suspect, a Ramat Gan resident in his 40s, caused the damage by throwing stones at the doors, fled the scene, and left the threatening letter. The investigation was conducted in cooperation with the Tel Aviv YMAR, YALP Ayalon, and the Shin Bet, and a gag order was imposed, which was lifted at the time of the announcement. The suspect was arrested and brought in for questioning.
