Raids and arrests in West Bank cities amid escalating settler attacks

Israeli occupation forces continued their raids and incursions across the West Bank, accompanied by arrests, house searches, and field interrogations, while settler attacks on villages and towns escalated. The raids covered Tulkarm, Nablus, Jenin, Qalqilya, Bethlehem, Hebron, and Ramallah, including the demolition of barracks and destruction of a water line. According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the occupation and settlers carried out 11,074 attacks in the first half of 2026, with Hebron leading at 2,224 attacks.

On Monday, Israeli occupation forces continued their raids and incursions in various parts of the occupied West Bank, which included arrests, searches of dozens of homes, and subjecting citizens to field interrogations, alongside escalating settler attacks on Palestinian villages and towns. In Tulkarm, occupation forces arrested freed prisoner Muhannad Abu Talal and young man Nour Shihada after raiding a residential building in the Iktaba suburb, and also arrested freed prisoner Raafat Murad Mar'i after storming his home in Bal'a town. In Nablus, they stormed the eastern area near Beit Furik checkpoint and Beit Dajan village with military bulldozers, demolishing an agricultural barracks and a caravan and destroying a water line, and raided Tel village and a residential building near the Arab Specialized Hospital. In Jenin, they detained several young men during a raid on Jalbun village, fired live bullets at a Palestinian vehicle, and stormed the towns of Zababdeh and Aqqaba, arresting Sheikh Basil Sharqawi and his son Baha'. The raids extended to Qalqilya, Bethlehem, Hebron, and Ramallah, with confrontations and the firing of sound bombs and gas. In parallel, settlers escalated their attacks by storming Abu Injim village and the outskirts of Al-Tira neighborhood, causing a state of fear among residents. According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the occupation army and settlers carried out 11,074 attacks in the West Bank during the first half of 2026, including land seizure, settlement expansion, forced displacement, field executions, land leveling, uprooting trees, and erecting barriers and closures. Hebron governorate topped the number of attacks with 2,224, followed by Ramallah and Al-Bireh with 2,175, then Nablus with 2,095, and Bethlehem with 1,137 attacks.
