Rabid Dog in Neve Tzuf: 4 Treated

The Ministry of Health announced a dog infected with rabies in Neve Tzuf. Four people have received preventive treatment. Anyone who came into contact with the dog between June 24 and July 9 is asked to seek testing.

The Ministry of Health announced that a medium-sized brown dog was found infected with rabies in the community of Neve Tzuf. So far, four people who were exposed to the dog have received preventive treatment against rabies. The ministry requests that anyone who had contact with the dog, or whose pets had contact with it or with a stray animal in the area, between June 24 and July 9, 2026, urgently contact the Ramla District Health Office or an emergency room. Parents are also urged to ask their children if they had contact with suspicious animals, and pet owners should contact the municipal veterinarian to check vaccination status. The ministry reminds that anyone bitten or scratched by an animal should wash the area with soap and water, disinfect, and seek medical evaluation.
