Qusra under siege: occupation seeks to seize it
The head of the village council in Qusra, south of Nablus, Hani Adel, warned of an escalating military and settlement attack on the town, stressing that occupation forces are working to evacuate the western area in preparation for taking control of it. He noted the deployment of large numbers of army and border guard forces, the siege of three homes, and the prevention of ambulance crews from reaching the area. He also pointed to a role exchange between settlers and forces, and the presence of 15 homes under construction for citizens previously displaced, considering the goal to be the displacement of residents and the imposition of a new settlement reality.

Adel said in press statements on Wednesday that large numbers of occupation army and border guard forces are deployed in the besieged western area, which represents the 'only remaining outlet' for Qusra's residents, noting that the town was besieged from three directions before all four directions are now under siege. He explained that large military reinforcements arrived in the area, coinciding with the siege of three homes of citizens and the prevention of ambulance crews from reaching the besieged and meeting their needs. He pointed to a 'clear role exchange' between settlers and occupation forces to control the area and force its residents to leave, noting that settlers returned despite their previous evacuation, without the occupation army taking action against them, but rather their numbers increase in conjunction with the deployment of military forces. He added that the area includes about 15 homes under construction for citizens previously displaced from other areas in the West Bank, making it a target for seizure and displacement schemes. Adel stressed that what is happening indicates that the goal is to displace the residents of the western area of Qusra and impose a new settlement reality on it.
