According to him, the Russian economy is approaching the limit of its capabilities to continue the war against Ukraine at the previous pace. Fedorenko refers to an analytical document prepared by specialists at the Kremlin under the leadership of presidential advisor Maxim Oreshkin. The document proposes creating conditions under which the population and businesses will more actively channel funds into the economy. Fedorenko believes this may hide the need to cover the budget deficit and predicts possible restrictions on bank deposits, forced placement of government bonds, increased state control, and nationalization.
