The IRGC claimed on Wednesday that it attacked two US vessels and eight oil tankers in the Persian Gulf in response to what it called a US attack on five Iranian tankers. CENTCOM confirmed on Tuesday that it had destroyed five Iranian crude oil tankers after Iran attempted to attack US Navy ships.
