The Prisoners' Media Office revealed that prisoners from the Gaza Strip were subjected to physical and sexual assaults and torture inside the "Rakevet" section of Ramle prison. The office stated in a statement on Monday that the guards assaulted the prisoners while they were handcuffed and blindfolded, using hard tools to beat them on the testicles, causing them severe pain. It added that prisoner (A. K.) was beaten with sticks all over his body, leaving him unable to stand or move, while he kept requesting treatment and painkillers without receiving medical care. The office pointed out that assaults on Gaza prisoners continue almost daily, alongside harsh detention conditions including being restrained during "foura" (yard time), being prevented from praying and monitored when praying in secret, in addition to poor food and lack of clothing. The office called on human rights and international organizations to urgently intervene to stop what it described as torture and sexual violations against the prisoners.
