Prisoners' Club: Occupation Prisons Turned into Systematic Extermination System Against Detainees

The Palestinian Prisoners' Club issued a fact sheet on the issue of prisoners in the first half of 2026, confirming that Israeli occupation prisons have turned into a systematic extermination system including torture, starvation, medical neglect, sexual assaults, and enforced disappearance, with over a hundred prisoners martyred since the start of the genocide.

The Palestinian Prisoners' Club issued a fact sheet on the issue of prisoners during the first half of 2026, in which it confirmed that Israeli occupation prisons have turned into a systematic extermination system against Palestinian prisoners and detainees. The Club explained that detention is no longer merely a restriction of freedom, but has become an organic part of the genocide, through policies including torture, starvation, medical neglect, isolation, sexual assaults, and enforced disappearance. It pointed out that the occupation authorities have expanded campaigns of mass arrest and administrative detention, and the holding of civilians as hostages. It noted that crimes inside prisons have moved to a more organized and brutal stage, with continued martyrdom of prisoners and escalation of diseases. It confirmed that more than a hundred prisoners have been martyred since the start of the genocide, the identities of 90 of whom have been announced, while the occupation continues to conceal the fate of dozens. The Club stressed that these policies represent a direct extension of the genocide, within a colonial system aimed at destroying the Palestinian human being.
