The talks, which will continue until Thursday, are intended to advance a long-term security arrangement and even lay the groundwork for a comprehensive agreement. According to the official American statement, the talks are a direct continuation of the positive momentum created recently in the trilateral meeting of US President Donald Trump, Lebanese President Michel Aoun, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. At the center of the discussions is the advancement of the full implementation of the "trilateral framework" formulated between the parties, which includes the controlled and verified disarmament of the terrorist organization Hezbollah and other hostile elements supported by Iran, as well as the redeployment (withdrawal) of IDF forces from southern Lebanon. The overarching goal is to prepare the ground for signing a comprehensive peace agreement. According to Asharq Bloomberg, Lebanon requested that the next pilot area be in Bint Jbeil or Al-Khiam, and the issue will be discussed extensively tomorrow. Sources told the newspaper "Al-Diyar" that the delegation is highly prepared and will not agree to any understandings or wording before examining the details and ensuring they align with Lebanese interests.
