Poll: Support for Netanyahu at new low

A new 'Ulpan Shishi' poll shows public support for Netanyahu as prime minister has dropped to 31%, a 6% decline in less than a month. 56% prefer a candidate other than Netanyahu. On the tie question, 23% support a change government with the abstention of the Arab parties. 79% say ethnic origin does not affect their vote.

A poll published by 'Ulpan Shishi' on Friday evening shows Benjamin Netanyahu recording his lowest suitability rating for prime minister in recent months. According to the data, 31% of respondents support Netanyahu, while 56% prefer a candidate other than Netanyahu. This represents a 6% decline in less than a month, following a previous poll conducted less than a month ago where Netanyahu stood at 37% support. The gap between Netanyahu and those supporting the 'anyone but Bibi' camp stands at 25%. On the tie question, 23% of respondents chose a change government with the abstention of the Arab parties, 22% preferred a unity government with Likud led by Netanyahu, 21% supported unity with Likud without Netanyahu, and a similar 21% preferred new elections. Regarding the influence of ethnic origin, 79% of the public said the issue has no influence or only a slight influence. The image of a party as right or left influences 64% of voters to a great extent. The poll also examined the possibility of the change bloc relying on Yoav Segalovich as the '61st finger' in forming a government. In the general public, 44% said the bloc would not be able to rely on him, and 28% answered positively. Among change bloc voters, 45% support relying on Segalovich, and 27% oppose. The poll was conducted by Midgam Consulting and Research headed by Mano Geva, on 06.08.2026, among 501 respondents, with a maximum sampling error of ±4.4%.
