Poll: Iran war was more complex than Trump administration expected

A CBS News/YouGov poll shows that a majority of Americans believe the war on Iran was more difficult than the Trump administration anticipated. Eight in ten said the war was more complex, and two-thirds supported ending it immediately.

A CBS News/YouGov poll reveals that most Americans think the war on Iran was tougher than the Trump administration expected. Nearly 8 out of 10 Americans found the war more complex than administration estimates, while over three-quarters of 2,193 respondents said the Trump administration faced greater difficulties than anticipated. In contrast, 20% said the conflict went as smoothly as expected, and only 4% thought it was less difficult. Regarding the war's future, about two-thirds of Americans favor an immediate end, while the other third believes operations should continue until Iran makes more concessions.
