Police arrested the suspect who harassed Ma'ale Adumim – and then his past was revealed

A resident of Bethlehem in his 30s, who was released as part of the Shalit deal, was arrested on suspicion of major involvement in several vehicle thefts in Ma'ale Adumim. During a search of his vehicle, police officers located tens of thousands of shekels in cash, which are suspected to have been received from the sale of two stolen vehicles and were hidden in the front part of the vehicle. The court extended his detention until September 14. The arrest was carried out as part of an investigation conducted by the Ma'ale Adumim police station following a series of vehicle thefts that occurred in the city during the month of August. Alongside his arrest, his vehicle was also seized. Last night, two additional suspects were arrested, residents of Bethlehem and Beit Jala, on suspicion of involvement in the thefts. In parallel, the Ariel police station arrested a Palestinian resident of Kibia on suspicion of vehicle theft in the city. These incidents join a series of arrests by the Shai District this week, during which more than 20 suspects were arrested for vehicle thefts and the theft of six vehicles was thwarted.
