Tiffany, who is running for Wisconsin governor as a Republican and is endorsed by President Trump, praised the pilot and rescue crews. His Democratic opponent, David Crowley, expressed relief that no serious harm occurred and commended the pilot's heroism. The single-engine Bonanza plane remained in the lake and was marked with a buoy. The investigation is expected to be handed over to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
