Pedestrian killed by vehicle on Highway 4 - road closures in the area

A pedestrian about 50 years old was killed today (Wednesday) after being hit by a vehicle on Highway 4 near the Yavne interchange. MDA teams pronounced his death at the scene. Police reported lane closures in the area.

A pedestrian about 50 years old was killed today (Wednesday) after being hit by a vehicle on Highway 4 southbound near the Yavne interchange. MDA teams who arrived at the scene performed resuscitation efforts but were forced to pronounce his death at the scene. MDA paramedic Guy Berali and medic Roni Ravia described a severe incident with multi-system trauma. Police reported lane closures: from the Mevo Ayalon interchange on Highway 20 southbound traffic is diverted to Highway 431, and on Highway 4 from the Gan Rave interchange southbound traffic is diverted to Highway 42. National traffic police officers are at the scene.
