The Israel Tax Authority has transferred the second tranche of the work bonus (negative income tax) for 2025 to the accounts of about 130,000 citizens. The funds began arriving on September 9, 2026, ahead of the holidays of the month of Tishrei. The total amount of payments in this stage exceeds 260 million shekels. The decision to make an early transfer was made to help families prepare for the holidays. Eligible for the bonus are employees and self-employed individuals who meet income criteria. Basic eligibility is for working citizens aged 21 and over with children, as well as individuals aged 55 and over without children. For a parent of one or two children, monthly income must be between 2,450 and 7,289 shekels; for those with three or more children, between 2,450 and 8,020 shekels. For single parents, expanded income limits are set: from 1,510 to 13,660 shekels per month. An important condition is not owning a second apartment. The maximum annual bonus for 2025 can reach 10,260 shekels. The amount is divided into 4 stages, with a maximum payment per tranche of up to 2,565 shekels. Since 2024, a supplement for children up to 3 years old has been in effect — up to 500 shekels per month. Initially, this stage of payments was planned for October 15, but was moved to September 9. The authority also sent about 240,000 notifications to potential recipients.
